A drawing made whilst on a residency at Emily Ball Studios. My first impression of the space was the steel staircase leading to the studios.
This drawing combines a rubbing of the stairs with observation.
A series of two, one drawing depicts descending the stairs and the other ascending.
I was influenced by hearing a Russian man interviewed on Radio 4 saying 'in the morning we don't know how we will be feeling by the evening'.
